Acting and Performance Skills, Movement, Voice, and Expression

A Class for Teens

Sunday, April 30, 20223

2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

2:00pm - 4:00 pm

  • Learn to be a confident, strong performer on stage.  Acting is pretending and using your imagination to create illusions for an audience.  Come to Heartwood on April 30th to explore the art of acting and pretending, and build your performance skills with like minded peers.

  • Comfortable clothing, sweat pants and t shirts always work. Barefoot on the dance floor, hair tied back and eyeglass ties highly recommended

Every part of us speaks and tells our story.  A performer hones and polishes every part.  That's what we do in class.  In stories and scenes there's always a beginning, a middle, and an end. The same is true for every movement that a performer makes. Class is a time for the study of these things. There's movement, then stillness, sound and then silence.  This is a disciplined practice.  Mask work and improvisation included.
