CREATIVE ARTS FOR CHILDREN
INTRODUCTION TO DANCE AND THEATRE FOR CHILDREN

Class fees for adults are low and scholarships for adults are available.

  • Thursday, May 22: Heartwood students will present a special entertainment event, "KALEIDOSCOPE!" for the public schools and general public at Calhoun County Middle/High School. There will be two performances. Times will be announced. Gary Auerbach will perform with the Heartwood students at this exciting event.
  • Tuesday, May 27: The "KALEIDOSCOPE!" performance will be repeated at Heartwood on Tueday afternoon, May 27, time to be announced.
  • Saturday, May 31: Special Visitors Day in conjunction with the Memorial Day holiday weekend and the Saturday morning Creative Arts for Children class,  11 a.m. to noon.
  • July 7 - 11: Heartwood will host a Free Summer Program in the afternoon during the week of July 7-11. School buses will be available to bring children who are participating in Energy Express and Heads-Up from Calhoun Middle/High School to Heartwood with  return to the Middle/High School.   Details on this wonderful program to include guest artists will be announced soon.

SPRING PERFORMANCE 2006: Heartwood Dance Teams A and B combine
to perform a colorful dance at Arnoldsburg Elementary School.

Heartwood celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a special December Celebration on
Saturday Dec. 8, 2007.  More than 200 people turned out for this incredible event.
The theme for the Celebration was "Look Back - Dream Forward".
The evening featured performances by Guest Artists: Ilene Evans, Ginny Hawker,
Elaine Wineand Gideon Kendall, who joined Heartwood students and alumni
in a nostalgic remounting of pieces from several of Heartwood's major production
