Performing Arts Program

This fall Heartwood will form a Level I Dance Company for beginning dancers.

MONDAY

Theatre Dance: Preparation for work on the stage. Study will include ballet technique, pantomime, masks and stagecraft.

This will be a combined class with Level I and II dancers: 4:45 – 6:30 p.m. Fee - $80.00 Instructor Jude Binder

 

TUESDAY

Introduction to Classical Ballet: Ages 10 and up. This is a ballet class for Level I and new students.

4:45 – 6:15 p.m. Fee: $80.00. Instructor Gina Burns.

 

Ballet II: Previous Ballet experience required. Intermediate study of Classical Ballet. 6:30 – 8:15 p.m. Fee – $80.00. Instructor Jude Binder.

 

Dance Technique: Level II students and experienced dancers will be led through exercises and movement sequences to enhance strength, flexibility, balance, expression and musicality. 6:30 – 8:15 p.m. Fee: $80.00 Instructor Jude Binder

 

FRIDAY

Creative Arts for Children: Ages 5 and up. Singing, dancing, art projects, reading, creative dramatics, masks, international folk dance, conservation education. 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Fee - $60.00 plus $10.00 materials fee.

WEDNESDAY

MOVEMENT FOR HEALTH AND CENTERING

Teens, adults and seniors.

Learn to move comfortably. Movement for Health and Centering classes combine rhythmic, meditative and aerobic movement sequences with  anatomical analysis to achieve a general upgrading of the body and an increased sense of well being. Previous dance experience not required. Wednesday, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Fee - $80.00. Instructor Jude Binder.
