The first week of classes will begin on Monday, March 6 and continue through Friday, June 2, 2017
Theatre Dance - Ages 10 and up. Preparation for work on the stage. This is a full company Performing Arts Program class, required for all levels. 4:45 - 6:15 p.m. Fee -$80.00. Instructor Jude Binder.
Theatre Class – Ages 9 and up. Students will study the basics of
theatre craft and performance. Class work will include acting and
improvisation, voice, movement and pantomime, and theatre games.
Classes will also serve as rehearsals for the performance of “The
Great Blueness,” a Musical Fantasy, at the Wood Festival, June 2017.
4:30 - 5:45 p.m. Fee - $60.00. Instructor Jude Binder.
Ballet Level Two - Teens, Adults and Seniors. Previous Ballet experience is required. 6:30 - 8:15 p.m. Fee - $80.00. Instructor Jude Binder.
Ballet Level One - Ages 10 and up. Study of the basic principles of
Classical Ballet. 4:45 - 6:15 p.m. Fee - $80.00 Instructor Gina Burns.
Movement for Health and Centering - Teens. Adults and Seniors. Learn to move comfortably. Classes combine meditative and aerobic movement sequences with anatomy study to achieve a general upgrading of the body and an increased sense of well being. Previous dance experience not required. 6:45 - 8:15 p.m. Fee - $80.00. Instructor Jude Binder.
Dance Technique - Teens, Adults and Seniors. Exercises and movement sequences to enhance strength, flexibility, balance, expression and musicality. 6:00 - 7:45 p.m. Fee - $80.00. Instructor Jude Binder.
Creative Arts for Children - Ages 5 and up. Singing, dancing, art projects, reading, creative dramatics, masks, international folk dance, conservation education. 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Fee - $60.00 plus $10.00 materials fee.

Maskmaking - Ages 15 and up. Students will design and create their own tarlatan mask and work with plaster, clay, paint and other materials in the process. 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Class length will vary. Fee - $85.00 plus $15.00 materials fee. Instructor Jude Binder.

Heartwood is located one mile off Route 16 North at Five Forks on Lovada/Broomstick Road in Calhoun County, midway between Smithville and Grantsville, W.Va.
School Closing Policy
Classes will not be held if Calhoun County schools are closed because of inclement weather unless we contact you. If your class is being held, but you think that traveling is dangerous, please do not attempt to come to class.
